AAPC: What are you most looking forward to this year?
John: I just got married, so living with my wonderful wife Lucy!
AAPC: Who do you look up to in the industry and why?
John: A lot of folks but definitely Ashley, Russ and Stuart that started our company and brought me on when I was very green. They have all been around and seen a lot but still have the passion and desire that some people seem to lose over the years. They know when to press and when to lay back which is something I am picking up from them. Hardly a days goes by that we aren’t working on some project together, gaming out the best approach.
AAPC: Tell us about something you’re most proud of accomplishing in your professional career.
John: It was really special to be a part of the team that helped Larry Hogan win the Maryland Governor’s race in 2014. Nate Silver gave him a 1% chance of winning or something like that, but we kept pushing and were able to win a state that’s very tough for Republicans even in the good years.
AAPC: To what do you credit your success at such a young age?
John: Just being persistent and pushing ahead, folks that are hard workers will shine in this business.
