AAPC: What does being a 2017 AAPC 40 Under 40 Award winner mean to you?
Nick: Being given an award by your peers, is just very humbling, not to be taken for granted, & I’m grateful.
AAPC: What are you most looking forward to this year?
Nick: Professionally already doing it, just going out and meeting with candidates/potential clients who are willing to take a run at public service in what’s shaping up to be an incredibly challenging political environment. Always energized by the enthusiasm of folks who are willing to put their name on a ballot, and then humbled that’d then entrust you with telling their story and setting the record straight when they’re character is under siege.
AAPC: To what do you credit your success at such a young age?
Nick: Luck. Started doing something I was incredibly interested in and enjoyed from day one. While the colleagues and scenery have changed…it’s just sheer luck that it would be in a field I enjoy toiling in as much 15 years later as I did on day one.
