Catherine Alonzo is founding partner of Javelina, a full service public affairs firm that specializes in strategic consulting, direct mail, government relations, grassroots mobilization and policy analysis. In this role, she works with a range of clients including companies, organizations, ballot measures and candidates looking to effect elections and public policy.
Catherine has coordinated campaigns at every level including federal, statewide and local, as well as ballot initiatives and school district candidate races, bonds and overrides. She was a part of the team that defeated Proposition 487, which would have abolished Phoenix’s pension system, elected current Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton and Phoenix City Councilwoman Laura Pastor, Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell, and Glendale City Councilmember Sam Chavira.
Originally from Birmingham in the UK, Catherine came to Arizona in 2005 to complete her MPA at ASU. A passionate advocate for LGBTQ equality and spreading intentional kindness in our communities, Catherine lives in north central Phoenix with her husband Ruben and their two bunny rabbits.
