What is a Mentor required to do?
Mentors are committed to devoting 5 hours of their time to your development. Our Mentors work on a volunteer basis. They’re a resource you can use for advice and clarity – not a full-time member of your team who can take on projects. Mentors will be assigned only one member at a time.
Who is eligible to be matched with a Mentor?
Any member seeking advice on a current project or career milestone is eligible to participate.
How is the relationship formed?
AAPC staff matches Mentors with members based upon the Mentor’s skillset and the member’s needs as determined by the Mentee Sign-Up Form.
How do I connect with my Mentor?
Upon your initial connection made by the AAPC staff, you will be introduced to your Mentor via email. Program participants are encouraged to block out time on their calendars to meet with one another regularly. Generally speaking, meeting via phone is the best way to connect.
Will my Mentor be in the same geographic region as I am?
AAPC will make every effort to match you with someone in or around your region; however, due to the national base of our membership and specific needs of program participants, we cannot guarantee that a match will be made in your preferred region.
