Gary Coby spent 2016 leading digital advertising for the Republican National Committee.
During the election cycle he also took on the role of Director of Digital Advertising and Fundraising for the Donald J. Trump campaign, where he executed nearly $100M in digital media and raised more than a quarter of a billion dollars online in 5 months.
AAPC: What are you most looking forward to this year?
Gary: After working for campaigns and agencies over 12 years, I’ve started my own company and I’m looking forward to seeing where that takes me.
AAPC: To what do you credit your success at such a young age?
Gary: Always being ready for an opportunity, obsessing over performance, and not waiting for things to come to me.
AAPC: What advice would you give to a young professional who has their eye on being a future 40 Under 40 Award winner?
Gary: 4 things:
Celebrate output, not input.
Block out the fear of failure.
Only take jobs that scare you, be an imposter.
Asking for forgiveness is easier than permission.
