Since its inception in 2005, Sarah has contributed to the exponential growth and success of Axiom Strategies. She has played key roles in the development from small regional consulting firm to robust, full-service and nationally recognized political agency, and serves today as head of the media buying team.
During the 2015-16 Republican Presidential Primary, Sarah served as Director of Operations for Cruz for President. In that capacity she had primary oversight of the $90 Million campaign budget and staffing and human resources management for 100+ personnel, and served as primary liaison with the RNC and television networks for all presidential primary debates.
Skilled at execution, Sarah has an acute attention to detail and uses her years of experience to steer campaigns and projects from their initial stages to full-scale operations. She is trusted and respected by her colleagues and peers in the industry and is a force within the organizations she works.
Sarah lives in Dallas with her husband, Pete, and daughter, Presley. They are expecting their second daughter in March 2017.
AAPC: What does being a 2017 AAPC 40 Under 40 Award winner mean to you?
Sarah: I am truly honored to be a AAPC 40 Under 40 Award recipient. The individuals chosen each year for this honor are paving the way for innovation of the political industry and the way campaigns are run, and they are cultivating and training up a new crop of young professionals with each election cycle. Each one is a force within their organization and will undoubtedly impact the larger industry for years to come. I am humbled to be among the collection of talent that was chosen this year.
AAPC: To what do you credit your success at such a young age?
Sarah: I have an incredible mentor. He is a seasoned veteran in the industry and took me under his wing early on in my career. He has taught me invaluable professional and life lessons, and given me countless opportunities to develop and challenge my skills.
AAPC: What advice would you give to a young professional who has their eye on being a future 40 Under 40 Award winner?
Sarah: Outwork your peers; be the first in, last to leave and highly responsive; people will notice. And find a successful mentor in the industry to learn from.
