David Kanevsky is the Director of Polling and Analytics at the RSLC. He has handled polling for candidates and organizations across the country, from Presidential campaigns and national committees to state and local races. Over the course of his career, David has conducted more than 1,200 survey research projects in all 50 states, as well as in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Mongolia and Russia. He previously served as the Polling Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee during the 2016 election cycle, and was a member of the John McCain for President polling team, coordinating the survey research program for the campaign across the country and in targeted states.
In addition to his background in survey research, he has also managed several political campaigns at both the local and federal level. In 2010, he managed Charlie Bass’ campaign for Congress, helping the campaign overcome a deficit in the polls and win one of the most Democratic congressional districts to flip to Republican control that cycle. Previously, he worked in Iraq, conducting polling on behalf of the U.S. military.
In 2013, David was named a ”Rising Star” by Campaigns and Elections magazine and also won the “Republican Pollster for the Year” Award from the American Association of Political Consultants.
David earned his B.A. in Political Communication from The George Washington University, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and has served an adjunct professor there, teaching campaign management.
