Zach is a veteran in mobilization and campaign management, with over a decade of experience, who has worked on elections at every level – from municipal to Congressional, Senate, Gubernatorial, and Presidential. This includes serving as campaign manager for Congresswoman Gabby Giffords’ successful reelection in 2008, working on the elections of Senators McCaskill and Daschle, and being part of President Obama’s Senior Leadership Team in the battleground state of Iowa in 2012.
Most recently (while at Precision), Zach managed the Digital Organizing program for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) during the 2014 mid-term elections – an effort that focused on mobilizing supporters and volunteers online.
Zach has worked in the political departments at the DSCC and the Democratic Governor’s Association (DGA). During the 2010 election cycle, Zach served as DGA’s Deputy Political Director where he oversaw 16 races. In total, Zach has political experience in 23 different states.
Zach is experienced in working with political, nonprofit, and corporate clients, particularly around better understanding and mobilizing targeted individuals and key demographics – through online and offline tactics.
He holds his bachelor’s degree from Mary Washington College and a master’s degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Zach got his start in politics managing his best friend’s (successful) campaign for 7th grade class President at Kiser Middle School in his hometown of Greensboro, NC.
