Peter Towey is Vice President of the Political Division at Targeted Victory based in Northern Virginia. Before joining Targeted Victory, Peter was the Deputy Political Director at the NRSC during the 2018 cycle, where the committee successfully defended the Republican majority in the US Senate.
In 2016, Towey served as Campaign Manager to Senator Pat Toomey’s (R-PA) successful reelection in what was the most expensive Senate campaign in US history. During the 2016 cycle, there was over $185m spent in Pennsylvania solely on the Senate race. Since 2016, the Toomey for Senate campaign has been recognized as a model of how a conservative can win in a swing state. This campaign has received accolades for the work done to maximize the use of Facebook digital advertising and targeting key voters across the state to win a race that was decided by 1.7% or 100,000 votes.
Prior to the 2016 Toomey campaign, Towey spent nearly a decade working on campaigns in Pennsylvania. He managed Ryan Costello for Congress in 2014 in the critical Philadelphia suburbs of Chester County. In 2012, Towey led the Romney-Ryan Victory Program for the RNC in Pennsylvania, then subsequently served as the Political Director for the Pennsylvania GOP. Towey was Political Director for Toomey for Senate in 2010, after spending the 2008 cycle in Northeast Pennsylvania on a congressional campaign.
Towey is a Minnesota native and attended Arizona State University for his undergrad. Peter lives in the DC suburbs with his wife Jennifer and their two young sons and dog.
