Kat Atwater is the Tech Political and Engagement Director at the DNC, and has been working at the intersection of tech and progressive values for over ten years. In her role, she helps ensure Democratic campaigns have the resources they need to leverage the most cutting-edge data and technology to win up and down the ballot. Prior to joining the DNC, Kat served as the COO at BlueLabs, a data and analytics firm in Washington D.C, and was the PAC Director and National Campaigns Operations Director at the Service Employees International Union. Kat holds a B.A from Gettysburg College, and an M.Sc in democratization and voting systems from the London School of Economics. In her spare time, Kat advises Rise, a national non-profit sexual assault survivor’s civil rights organization, practices yoga, and throws the frisbee for her dog Echo.
