Join this session to hear Eric Wilson, Managing Partner at Startup Caucus, outline how political technology has evolved from Version 1.0 and simply establishing online presences to Version 2.0 and the digitization of legacy campaign functions to now Version 3.0 and digital transformation of campaigning.
We have work to do on getting Version 2.0 to the “long tail” – the thousands of state and local campaigns that aren’t served by current business models. And Version 3.0 will mean fundamental shifts in how our industry does business. Platforms and software will follow voters NOT campaigns. Voters’ relationships with candidates will look more like those of the Creator/Influencer economy. And Web 3 and blockchain technology, like NFTs, will mean new opportunities for Voters to influence campaigns.
