In Memoriam: Glen Bolger
American Association of Political Consultants
June 30, 2026
Like so many across our community, we were deeply saddened by the passing of Glen Bolger on June 24. Glen was an AAPC Hall of Fame inductee, a three-time AAPC Pollster of the Year, and one of the most accomplished public opinion researchers and political strategists of his generation.
Glen was a founding partner of Public Opinion Strategies, helping build the firm into one of the nation’s premier political and public affairs research organizations. Over a career spanning more than three decades, he advised presidents, governors, senators, members of Congress, Fortune 500 companies, and leading advocacy organizations, earning a reputation for research that informed winning campaigns and shaped critical public policy debates. His work helped set the standard for Republican polling and influenced countless campaigns across the country.
Glen served as pollster for at least one newly elected Member of Congress across 17 consecutive election cycles, an unmatched record in the profession. Earlier this month, Glen, alongside his Public Opinion Strategies partners Bill McInturff and Neil Newhouse, was inducted into the AAPC Hall of Fame in recognition of the lasting impact they made on the political consulting profession.
For those fortunate enough to know him, Glen’s legacy extends well beyond his professional accomplishments. He was known as a creative visionary, a trusted mentor, a generous colleague, and a steadfast friend. Public Opinion Strategies described him as a cornerstone of their organization whose influence reached political and public affairs communities not only across the United States, but internationally.
AAPC President Kyle Roberts reflected on Glen’s impact, saying, “Glen helped define what excellence in political polling looks like. His work influenced generations of campaigns, but it was his commitment to people, his generosity and mentorship that left an equally lasting mark. He was an extraordinary consultant, a trusted colleague, and a cherished friend. We are grateful for all he gave to the political consulting community.”
Glen’s contributions to the profession will continue to be felt for generations. His leadership, wisdom, and commitment to excellence helped shape not only successful campaigns, but also the consultants who had the privilege to learn from him.
We keep Carol, Torie, Maddy, Julia, and the entire Bolger family, along with his many friends, colleagues, and partners, in our thoughts and prayers as we honor the legacy he leaves behind.
