Are membership dues increasing for ALL member types?
A: No, in fact, Young Professional, Academic and Non-Profit membership dues are slightly decreasing. Starting February 4th, the annual dues will go from $100 to $99 per year. We recognize that Young Professionals, Academic, and Non-Profit members are often just starting out in their careers or working within extremely tight budgets. AAPC is committed to ensuring that membership remains accessible and affordable for those who are building their foundation in political consulting or contributing to the industry in impactful, but indirect ways.
When will the new pricing take effect?
A: The new dues structure will take effect on February 4, 2025. Membership renewals on or after this date will reflect the updated pricing.
Are there payment plans or discounts available?
A: At this time, AAPC does not offer payment plans, but discounts are available for early renewals, two-year memberships and our Pollie Contest judges. Auto-renew is also available.
How can members prepare for this change?
A: Organizational Members: Review your roster to maximize your new seat allocation (Platinum: 15 seats; Gold: 5 seats). Your membership renewal will automatically reflect the updated pricing.Â
Will my benefits change immediately, or only after my renewal?
A: The new benefits and seat allocations will be available to members immediately following the February 4, 2025, update, regardless of your renewal date.
Can I add more members to my organizational membership now that seat allocations are increasing?
A: Yes, we encourage Platinum and Gold members to review and update your roster to take full advantage of the increased seat allocations (15 for Platinum, 5 for Gold).
What happens if my organization doesn’t use all of its allocated seats?
A: Any unused seats remain available for your organization to assign at any time during your membership period. We recommend reviewing your roster to maximize your membership value.
What happens if I recently renewed prior to the increase?
A: If you renewed before the price increase, there’s nothing more you need to do. Your next membership renewal will automatically reflect the updated pricing. For Gold and Platinum members, we recommend reviewing your roster to make the most of your new seat allocation.
Can I upgrade my membership to a different tier before my renewal?
A: Yes, members can upgrade to a higher membership tier at any time. Please contact the AAPC Membership Team at [email protected] for assistance with upgrading your membership.
How does AAPC determine membership pricing?
A: Membership pricing is carefully evaluated to balance affordability with the ability to expand resources, advocacy efforts, and member benefits. The new structure ensures that all members, regardless of tier, receive exceptional value.
