KELLY GIBSON

KELLY GIBSON

Kelly Gibson has spent much of her free time working to combat gender inequality, from serving on the Running Start Advisory Board sponsoring and training young women to run for office, to working with the American Association of Political Consultants to amplify the input of women on professional panels, boards and conferences. Her personal mission is to bring more equity to politics. When she is not working, or raising her two young boys, she is seeking out ways for women to have a more significant voice.

This drive was the reason to launch Stronger Than Communications – a collective of political operatives (mostly women) working together to advance progressive policies. Kelly’s one of the few female representatives in the political media industry. She’s a political media powerhouse with more than fifteen years of experience making ads, producing media and directing strategic messaging for candidates, environmental organizations, unions, and campaigns from City Council to Presidential races. Kelly was honored with a Rising Star Award in 2014 by Campaigns & Elections, and was named one of the AAPC’s 40 Under 40 in 2016. And lands a punch of Fox news every now again, because you never know where you will win a vote. Kelly is in her element on set and in the situation room, helping campaigns win at every level. Her sweet spot is ads that reveal a candidate’s true character to voters and speak to their values.

With a keen eye on the latest trends and technologies for communicating a compelling and cohesive narrative, Kelly understands that politics is part of life, not just election season. Realizing how, when and where to talk to Americans about our democracy is what will continue to win for Democrats and keep hope as our north star.
