Daniel joined Something Else Strategies at the onset of the 2018 cycle, and the firm experienced unprecedented success winning 7 competitive statewide races including Brian Kemp (GA-Gov), Ron DeSantis (FL-Gov), Marsha Blackburn (TN-Senate), Kim Reynolds (IA-Gov), Pete Ricketts (NE-Gov), Kay Ivey (AL-Gov), and Will Ainsworth (AL-Lt Gov) as well as successful IE’s for the RGA, NRSC, US Chamber, and others.
During the 2016 cycle, Daniel served as the NRSC Independent Expenditure Director and Senior Advisor managing a $41 million budget as part of the team that held the Senate Majority. Prior to that, Daniel served as the Deputy Director of the NRSC Independent Expenditure Unit for the 2014 election cycle. During Daniel’s tenure at the NRSC, no Republican Senator lost a primary.
Prior to the NRSC, Daniel worked at the Republican Governors Association where he was part of the team that successfully defended Governor Scott Walker in the historic 2012 recall election. While at the RGA, Daniel helped implement a $55 million budget, helping successfully defend all incumbents and open Republican seats, most notably, helping elect the first Republican Governor in North Carolina in two decades.
In 2015, Campaign & Elections Magazine named Daniel to their annual Rising Star List. He is a native of Canton, Georgia.
