Domonique James is the Founder and CEO of Politics with Purpose, a digital media, training, and consulting firm. She is a political professional with over ten years of experience in strategic communications, grassroots advocacy, and political and public affairs advertising. Her political career began as a field organizer for President Obama’s re-election campaign, ultimately serving as Deputy White House Liaison to the Environmental Protection Agency. Prior to that, she was the Director of Business Development at RMS Interactive, a political digital advertising company. She also worked at Girls Who Code, First Data Corporation, and MillerCoors Brewing Company. Domonique is a staunch advocate of youth development and sits on the Board for College to Congress, a nonprofit that provides all-expense paid scholarships for Pell Grant students to intern on Capitol Hill. She is also an executive team member of 21st Century Woman, a mentorship community for women in business. Her experience in community empowerment has propelled her on to the international stage as a speaker, thought leader, media contributor, and guest lecturer. For her work, Campaigns & Elections Magazine recognized her as a Top 25 Rising Star in Politics. She also served as a juror for the North American Excellence in PR Awards. Domonique is a graduate of Spelman College and also attended the Women’s Campaign School at Yale University. She was born and raised in Denver, CO.
